It is that time of year again. The Masters, A tradition unlike any other.
Here are some fun facts about Augusta National Golf Course:
While watching the tournament you are not fan. You are not a crowd or even a part of a gallery. You are a patron. You’ll hear it often during the broadcast. Also, while on the grounds, patrons are told not to run. Walking only. Believe it or not from my observation, everyone followed the rules! This was pretty entertaining in itself to me.

Augusta National is presumed to have one of the best private wine cellars in the world, buying the best French, Italian, American and Australian wines on futures. Those glasses of wine that tasted so good during dinner came from bottles that run $1,000 apiece, and more.
Yes, it is true- the sounds of the singing birds is piped into the broadcasting. I don't think I heard one bird while walking the course.
The prices of concession is extremely inexpensive. Most of the items have been close to the same price since the 80's.
Home owners near the course will rent their homes out during the Masters and make enough to pay their Mortgage for the year. Pretty sweet deal!
No cell phones allowed in the tournament. Courtesy phone banks are offered at several spots on the course at Augusta National Golf Club. ( Thus my selfie taken in the airport Ha!)
